3-WEEK SECRETARIAL COURSE (Elementary Exam Level)
Subjects: Keyboarding Profile, Word Processing, and Microsoft PowerPoint*
This course supplies the complete beginner with Copy Typing and Word Processing
skills, and skills in building a PowerPoint presentation. You will take two
City & Guilds examinations at Elementary level in Typing and Word Processing and will
gain a College Diploma in PowerPoint (*you can change this for Excel, Access or Outlook). See descriptions of

4-WEEK SECRETARIAL COURSE (Elementary Exam Level)
Subjects: Typewriting, Word Processing and Audio-Typing
This course is designed for the complete beginner/refresher who would like to
acquire all three skills for career or help with college courses.
City & Guilds Examinations are taken in Elementary Typing and Word Processing.

6-WEEK HIGH ACHIEVERS COURSE (Elementary and Intermediate Exam Levels)
Subjects: Typewriting, Word Processing, Audio-Typing and Microsoft PowerPoint*
This very popular intensive beginner's course equips the candidate with the
secretarial skills required for work in today's market, plus the useful skill
of building an animated on-screen presentation with Microsoft PowerPoint (*you can change this for Excel, Access or Outlook).
Whether it is a career change or skills required in addition to previous experience you can be
sure of getting work at this level. The course has been specifically designed
for graduates, A-Level leavers and people who would like to achieve very high
standards.
Four City & Guilds examinations are taken at Elementary and Intermediate levels.
Most of our students achieve four passes and many achieve first class passes
in all four exams. There is no exam with PowerPoint but you will be awarded
a College Diploma for this subject. See descriptions of Crash Typing, Audio Typing II and

3-MONTH SECRETARIAL COURSE (Advanced Level)
Subjects: Typewriting, Pitman New Era Shorthand, Word Processing, Audio-Typing and Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook (email).
This intensive course trains the beginner or refresher in eight subjects. The course is suitable for any person wishing to gain a higher status
secretarial career. Undergraduates and 'A' Level leavers may find the skills very useful
for note-taking and typing of their dissertations and theses.
City & Guilds Examinations are taken in Elementary Typing and Intermediate Typing, Shorthand (50 - 80wpm), Word Processing
and Audio Typing II with a Diploma in Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook (email)
and the Internet.
SPEED AIM: 40 - 50 wpm Typing, 50 - 80 wpm Pitman Shorthand
Job Prospects: Shorthand-Typist, Shorthand Secretary, PA/Medical/Legal Secretary, Journalist, Writer, Lawyer, Translator, Publishing/Media work.

6-MONTH PA/SECRETARIAL COURSE (Advanced Level)
Subjects: Pitman New Era Shorthand, Typewriting, Audio-Typing, Word Processing,
Office/Secretarial Procedures, Business English, Windows, Microsoft Office:
Excel Spreadsheets, PowerPoint Graphics, Access Database, Outlook (email)and the Internet.
SPEED AIM: 50 - 60 wpm Typing, 80 - 120 wpm Shorthand
A fully comprehensive knowledge of secretarial skills in today's world
enabling the student to take up an interesting and varied career at PA/Personal
Secretary level plus City & Guilds Intermediate and Advanced examinations. The
Secretarial Procedures and Business English classes cover all the duties
you are likely to perform in addition to shorthand-typing, eg: meetings procedure,
diaries, office equipment, financial documents, communications, travel arrangements,
marketing, company structures etc. An in-house speaker is also included.

Diploma is available for students with above-average achievements.
Starting: The course can be commenced at any time but popular starting dates
are in January, June and September.

ONE YEAR SECRETARIAL COURSE FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS (Visa letters for 12 months) (Advanced Level)
More than an academic year (40 weeks). Whilst following the subjects of the six month course more attention is given relating to Business English and Shorthand. Lower Cambridge, Advanced and Proficiency exams can be arranged.
A fully comprehensive knowledge of Secretarial Skills in today's world enabling the student to take up an interesting and varied career plus Pitman Intermediate and Advanced Examinations.
SPEED AIM: 40 - 60 wpm Typing, 60 - 100 wpm Shorthand
City & Guilds Examinations available on this course:
