What are the students doing now ... Mima (21) (April 05)
Mima completed our 6 month PA/Secretarial course after deciding she did not want to
continue her studies at Bristol University. Mima was a very high achiever at our College and we are all proud of
everything she accomplished. As with all of our students we helped to register Mima with local Recruitment Agencies
and within ????????? Mima was working with ?????????
Jennie also completed our 6 month PA/Secretarial course starting in Sept 04.
Jennie achieved Advanced level in most subjects and exceeded all expectations with her Shorthand ability.
These skills quickly placed Jennie in a permanent position with a prominent legal firm in the Bristol area.
In fact Jennie was working full-time within 2 weeks of leaving College. Sophie completed our 6 month PA/Secretarial course and now has a
permanent secretarial position within a local legal firm. This postitioned was offered to Sophie
after she had been temping there for a few weeks. They realised Sophie had aquired excellent office
skills and could not afford to let her go elsewhere. Salary £14,000 rising to £17,000 in one year!! Holly came to us at age 18 to complete our 3-Month Secretarial course
after working as a shop assistant in a local department store for nearly a year. Holly had decided it
was time to move on and to do this she needed to gain new skills. On completion of our course she was
offered the position of sales administrator within a local Property Company. This new role gives Holly
the responsibility and salary she was looking for. Since leaving school, Amanda worked for a high street bank for
4.5 years but decided she would like to change her career. She joined the College on the 3-Month
Secretarial/PA course and within 2 weeks of finishing, had been offered several jobs. She has accepted a
job with a large company in North Bristol as a secretary - on a salary of £15K!! Joanna moved from Padstow to Bristol to join our 3-Month Secretarial
Course. While registering with an agency in her last week with us, she was offered a temporary to
permanent role working for a professional company in Bristol. UPDATE!! Jo has been offered a full

the college, has been offered a temporary to permanent position using her secretarial skills for a
business banking company - well done Lydia!! Some of our students attend the courses for just a week to brush-up
their skills or learn new skills so they can change their job. Amy attended an Audio Typing course as she was studying
ILEX Level 3 in Law and wanted to improve her chances of getting a legal secretarial role. Amy's current role is working as a
Winelist Operative, however, she has achieved a First Class Pass in her Audio Typing exam and starts a new job
as a Legal Secretary in June. Lucy has been studying at Edinburgh University but wants to move
into Law. She joined the college for a 6-Week High Achievers Course to learn practical office skills

assignment the week after leaving the college and the company has already offered her a full-time role! Stacy and Nana joined the college in September for the 3-Month Secretarial course.
Stacy's previous jobs have included data entry and admin work and Nana has worked for a bank. They have just finished their course
and have achieved 80 wpm shorthand (!!). Stacy is now on a long-term temping assignment near her
home town of Cardiff and Nana has been offered a temporary position at £9.50 an hour as a PA. Emma is a freelance lighting designer and works within theatres.
As she is looking to move to London, she decided it would be worthwhile learning secretarial skills
so that she could temp between jobs. Phillipa is taking a gap year and joined us on the
6 week course. She has just taken a temporary position until late February before touring around
Italy. Having been to University to study Graphic Design, Gemma
wanted to learn secretarial skills to compliment her design experience. Since attending
the 6-Week High Achievers Course, she is now using her secretarial skills in a Design company! Anna took a 6-Week High Achievers course covering Typing,
Audio Typing, Word Processing and Excel. Within a month of leaving the College she was
employed by a large firm of Accountants in Bristol on a salary of £12,000. Cathy attended the 3-Month Secretarial course and said "It's the best thing I ever did". Over the years Cathy has been able to use her skills
in various temping assignments. As the qualifications are internationally recognised, she
has been able to work in Australia and New Zealand - just to mention a few of the countries
she has worked in! Good news for Natalie. She took a long-term temping
assignment after finishing the 6-Month PA Course to gain experience. She has since moved
to another company and has been offered a permanent role of PA having temped initially. Addy has spent time gaining experience in a long-term temping
assignment with Rolls Royce. This role has given her the experience she needed and she has now
accepted a permanent job-share at Bristol City Council. Jess also attended the 6-Month PA Course and after finishing,
took a temporary assignment to gain experience. Having temped for the same company
for several months, Jess has now been taken on permanently. Nicole moved to Bristol to attend the 6-Month PA course which finished in
